I, for one, barely have enough models put together to play a 500 pt fantasy battle (let alone enough painted to play to my own liking) and I know others are in the same way. So my brother and I were thinking about throwing together some of our Fantasy army models into warbands and playing Mordheim.

Mordheim is a pretty simple game to get into rulewise, especially if you know a little about fantasy. If not, it's a good way to ease you into some of the trickier fantasy rules (charging, shooting, and all that). And since you only need between 3 and 20 models depending on which warband you choose and the fact that the rulebook is free off the games-workshop site ( http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/content/...jsp?aId=5300009 ), it doesn't take much to get into. There's been a few unofficial updates as well, adding warbands for practically every army. ( most you can find off specialist games website or http://www.mordheimer.com )

If people are actually interested in giving it a go, we might be able to start a few games on Wednesdays and see if we can play a little campaign before the league starts in August.

I've been missing in action from wednesday nights for about a month and a half. Some of us have been playing friendly games of Mordheim on wednesday and using lots of proxys. A few of us have never played Warhammer fantasy, but we had several figs sitting around for D&D and Mageknight. I'm not in a position to grow a fantasy army (I'm trying to buy/paint my Imperial Guardsmen) but I could occasionally buy enough for a warband.

I'll start bringing my warband with me. Again, expect proxies until I decide to make a few purchases.

I should mention that Mordheim is a hoot. I've always been more of an RPG guy, so the campaign rules that let you acquire experience, awards, war wounds, etc. are really cool.

I usually show up around 6:30 or so, but a lot of people show up earlier to do the big 40k of fantasy stuff.

I've got a Reikland warband for Mordheim. Love the game and it's even better since you can download the rules from the GW websit free. I haven't made it to Meta Games in weeks to play Mordheim on Wednesdays (this new job is kicking my butt). However I will be playing in the WHFB slow grow league starting in August. I will start carrying my Mordheim band with me so if someone wants to get a quick Mordheim game in I should be able to do that as well.

Heck, maybe I'll even manage to get the warband painted in August. Not going to swear to that though since my first priority though since I'll need to get my 750pts of WHFB army painted. But, hey it might happen.

Wednesdays or the weekend works for me, honestly. I live an hour out of the 'Field so making it up there more than once a week is less than appealing.

I think that even if mordhiem isn't a art of the slow grow it would begreat to have a campaign group or some such. I'll be there wednesday evening if not sooner trying to get a game if anyone is interested they can get a hold of me then or post here. If we get enough interest I suppose I'll start a thread.
